Information on the European Agreement on a Voluntary Code of Conduct for Pre-contractual Information on Home Loans (2001/193/EC)

The Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority provides you with information on how to comply with provision II. a) of the Code of Conduct on Principles of fair conduct by financial organizations engaged in retail lending.

The provisions of the Commission Recommendation 2001/193/EC on pre-contractual information to be provided to consumers by lenders offering home loans (Recommendation) are built into the European Agreement on a Voluntary Code of Conduct for Pre-contractual Information on Home Loans (Agreement). The Agreement has been negotiated and adopted by European associations of consumers and the European Credit Sector Associations offering home loans.

While the Recommendation has no official Hungarian translation, relevant provisions set forth in Part II of the Agreement are completely in accordance with adequate points contained in the Recommendation.
