The importance of supervisory transparency and accountability regarding personal data and free access to information of public interest has been stressed by the HFSA. The editorial staff of the Authority’s Website processes and uses personal data and information of public interest in accordance with data protection law (Act LXIII of 1992) and the legal position of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Browsing the Website’s contents does not require providing personal information. HFSA’s Website offers users an opportunity to register for newsletter, to make remarks on extranet forums, or to participate in certain teamworks. Nonetheless, taking up these offers will require to enter specified personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address) in order to enable HFSA to deal with the enquiry. The date stored in the log file will not be passed on to third parties under any circumstances notwithstanding any exemptions provided by legal regulation. Inasmuch as the visitor – based on the given personal data – prefers not to be contacted by the institution, HFSA will proceed in respect to the above mentioned decision, namely not passing on the information. The data will no longer be available for further use.

HFSA uses and processess the provided personal data in accordance with the requirements of the current Data Protection Act.

HFSA will disclose personal information processed for statistical purposes only, not linked to any specified institution. The editorial office ensures the protection of personal data from violators.

The Website automatically captures some information such as visitor’s IP address, domain name (URL), the date and time of the visit, data of the browsed pages, the used search engine etc. This information analysed by HFSA is used solely for statistical purposes and to improve HFSA’s Internet Portal. They are not passed on to third parties and are eliminated after processing. This site may contain links to sites operated by other parties. Such sites are not under the control of HFSA, hence the Authority is not responsible for their contents or any links they may contain or for their functioning.
